Privacy
How this website — the pages at https://powerconstructionchicago.com — handles the information you give it. It covers the website itself, not everything Power Construction does as a company.
What the contact form collects
The form asks for your name and a phone number so somebody can call you back. It also accepts a ZIP code, the service you are asking about, and a message. Only what you type is sent.
Along with it the form sends the page you submitted from, so the office knows what you were reading, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash exists to stop the same source submitting hundreds of messages; the address itself is not stored.
It also sends how you found the site, when your browser shows it: the campaign tags on the link you followed (such as utm_source), a Google Ads click identifier, the address of the page that linked here, and the first page you opened on this site. These tell the business which of its listings and adverts bring enquiries.
What is done with it
It goes to Power Construction so somebody can get back to you about the work you asked about. It is not sold, and it is not passed to anyone who is not working on your enquiry.
Counting visits
This website counts visits without cookies. When a page opens, it sends PostHog, the analytics service the business uses, a note of the page, the time, the site that linked here, and whether a call button was tapped or the contact form was started and sent. Nothing you type into the form is included. PostHog sees the internet address the note arrives from, as any web server does, and uses it to estimate the town or region a visit came from.
Nothing is stored on your device to do this: no cookie, no local storage. Each visit gets a random number that exists only while the page is open, so a later visit cannot be connected to this one, and no profile of you is kept. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted at all.
Cookies
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and loads no advertising trackers.
There is exactly one cookie in the system, and it is not set on this site: when a member of staff opens an unpublished draft on the internal preview host, that preview link is exchanged for a short-lived cookie so they can click around the draft. It carries the site’s identifier and nothing about the visitor.
How the pages are served
These pages are static files delivered from a content delivery network, which — as every web server does — logs the requests it serves in order to run the service and defend it from abuse.
